Faroe Islands joins as 46th IC-ENC member
IC-ENC is pleased to welcome the Faroe Islands (Umhvørvisstovan) as its 46th member. Umhvørvisstovan, the Faroese environment agency, was formally given responsibility of Faroese charting from the 1st January 2020.
4th Technical Conference
IC-ENC held its fourth Technical Conference at the end of October. This is an annual event to coordinate best practice and to harmonize ENC production across the 45 IC-ENC member Hydrographic Offices.
8,000 ENCs released
IC-ENC has great pleasure in announcing that its folio of ENCs distributed on behalf of its members has risen to 8,004 cells following the week 46 release (15th of November 2018).
First training course held in Africa
Between the 11th and 19th of November IC-ENC delivered its first Validation Training Course on the African continent. 11 delegates from 6 ENC producers attended the training course in Alexandria, Egypt.
