IC-ENC appoint Chair and Vice Chairs

At SC24, after unanimous support was expressed by Members, Burak İnan was appointed as IC-ENC Chair.

Burak is already offering new ideas for improved processes and working methods within the IC-ENC management and Chair teams.

The SC recognised the progress made under the outgoing Chair, Dr John Nyberg. His contribution includes his office joining as an IC-ENC Member, leading the IC-ENC North America Office as a regional office Host, IC-ENC Vice Chair and latterly as Chair. We wish John the best of luck in his new role as a Director at the International Hydrographic Organization.

Burak commented “It is an honor and a pleasure to receive the IC-ENC Chair position from John Nyberg. It is so hard to replace him, so I can only strive to be better. I would like to thank him again for his all efforts. I feel also really lucky because I got the privilege of working with the IC-ENC and Chair Team.”

Following Vice Chairs Michael Andrew and Pia Højgaard confirming their ongoing commitment to their roles, the SC welcomed Leendert Dorst as a third Vice Chair. Leendert brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role which will undoubtedly add a huge amount of value to IC-ENC.

We are all looking forward to working closely with the new Chair and Vice Chair team!
