Dynamic Purchasing System - Training

Why do we need a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for training?

IC-ENC Members require more training to meet their capacity building needs and to ensure they are upskilled to meet demands that the S-100 era will bring. The use of third party providers has been identified as a potential option to support training delivery by IC-ENC and/or Member-to-Member training.  Limited availability/committed internal and Member resource is recognised as a factor needing to be addressed.

The DPS has been designed to be as broad as possible to encompass a wide range of training and support needs. This approach ensures that any future training requirements are effectively anticipated and accommodated.

The following subjects are a snapshot of ongoing training that is required:

  • S-101 Production

  • S-57 to S-101 (S-101 – S-57) Conversion Workshop 

  • S-102 workshops, S-104 & S-111 workshops 

  • ENC Quality and Conversion  

  • S-100 Database creation, implementation, and maintenance  

  • ENC Gridding  

  • Dual Fuel Management  

  • S-57 – S-101 Harmonisation  

  • Marine Spatial Data Infrastructure (MSDI) workshop 

  • Seminars on Raising Awareness in Hydrography

  • Hydrographic Survey with Unmanned survey Vessel (USV) training
