Dates and timeframe: The secondment will take place on Monday 21st April - Friday 2nd May 2025
Purpose of secondment: Full overview of the inner workings of NOAA (HO) and IC-ENC North America (RENC)
Desired outcomes / benefits: Understanding and gaining insights into the operations of a peer HO. Familiarising oneself with the IC-ENC regional office. Exploring potential improvements and better practices for their own processes.
Structure:
Week 1 - Attend meetings, two days in Nautical Data Branch, Dissemination processes and policies, one day with Production Team. ENC Production Management. Work alongside IC-ENC North America team (ENC Validation).
Week 2 – Working with Esri tools in a production environment.
Secondee requirements: English language, knowledge of ENC’s and production systems as well as general Validation experience.
Pre-work: No pre-work required.
Follow up work: Secondee to provide a journal/article to IC-ENC sharing their experience. Secondee to share their learnings at IC-ENC Technical Conference or Steering Committee (if appropriate). Any relevant information to be shared with Members via the IC-ENC LMS.
